On top of the Forez Mountain ridge, 1390m in altitude, the view is wide open : to the Alps and the Forez plain in the East, to the Auvergne Mountains and the chain of volcanoes in the West. On this bald mountain, there are many peat-bogs, real witnesses of long-disappeared terrains elswhere.
