The village of Les Allamands, which lies on the road to the Chablais and Valais areas, had a large population living in it all year round until the First World War.
Nearby is a shrine containing a statue of the Virgin Mary. The shrine was built by Father Charpin and his parishioners from Ambilly who held a holiday camp here during the summer.
