Mythical place in San Francisco and the bay, the old penitentiary closed in 1963 can be visited today. You can see the cell of Al Capone or that of Frank Morris, the latter escaped and never returned!

To visit you must go about it in advance (at least a month in advance), or you will only contemplate the penitentiary from a boat!
